Vegan ice creams aren’t new to the world anymore, but the truth is they still aren’t mainstream.
Most ice cream manufacturing companies use dairy as their base, and that’s why the launch of a vegan version is always good news for the vegan community.
A lot is changing in this space though. In recent years, established ice creams brands such as Ben & Jerry’s and even Häagen-Dazs has launched various flavors and types for their vegan patrons.
Low-calorie brand, Enlightened Ice Cream is next to hop on this bandwagon. After the successful launch of their seven vegan flavors last year, the brand has rolled out 100 calorie vegan bars. These ice cream bars are made from almond milk and are available in five amazing flavors that include Salted Caramel, Mocha Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter & Jelly.
“We’re thrilled to introduce our creamy dairy-free frozen desserts in spoon-free format,” Michael Shoretz, founder and CEO of Enlightened said. “With the introduction of our dairy-free pints, we began serving a whole new community, and offering our dairy-free bars was the next logical step. But whether you’re dairy-free or just an ice cream lover, we’re confident you’ll love our new bars!”
For all those who love low-calorie vegan ice creams, Enlightened Ice Cream bars are available at Albertsons, Safeway, Big Y, HEB, Shoprite, Sprouts, and Weis.
