As the number of vegans rise around the world, and the consumption of plant-based proteins increases, we’ll be seeing a shift in price-points on plant-based ‘meats’, which should encourage people to join the vegan movement even more.
That’s a dream set out by Beyond Meat, anyway. They are, along with Impossible Foods, mass-producing plant-based proteins nationwide as companies like Taco Bell, Del Taco, Burger King, A&W, and others have incorporated their products into the menu.
Beyond Meat CEO told Forbes this week that “We have an ambition to be part of the generation that separates meat from animals.. “[T]here’s no reason [plant based protein] shouldn’t be cheaper than meat.”
Another victory for the vegan world.
